Online Baccarat - How to Play
The main object while playing online Baccarat is to bet upon entity with cards.
The numeric value of a hand is calculated to the total closest of 9.
The player having higher value of hand is declared winner.
The total is calculated in the following manner:
- Cards 2 to 9 are counted as per face value
- Aces is counted as 1
- Face cards and 10's are counted as 0.
At the beginning of game, player has three betting options to choose from: "Banker", "Tie" or "Player". If you place your bet either on winning player's hand or winning house hand, you will be paid at 1:1 ratio.
Commission is also charged on the winning amount, hence you receive the total winning amount as - (1 - percentage commission): 1.
If you wager on tie, your payoffs will be 8:1.
Generally, online tables have minimum bet limit of $1 and maximum bet limit of $250.
If you get a 6 and a 8, combined total according to you will be 14, but it is counted as 4.
Similarly, if you receive a 9 and a 2, total is not counted as 11 but only 1.
So, the total of in-hand cards shouldn't exceed 9.
The 'first two cards hand' that totals exact 9 is considered the best.
The 'first two cards hand' giving the total 8 is considered second-best hand.
These two hands are also called "natural" hands.
Baccarat Table Layout
Generally, Baccarat table has two similar ends and middle area for Caller. Baccarat table has some other sections also like the following:
- Dealer 1
- Dealer 2
- Caller (Croupier)
- Drop Box
- Tips box
- Discard Trays
Up to 14 players can play Baccarat on a single table.
The positions of the players are marked on the basis of the corresponding numbers marked upon a section just in front of players.
