Some common rules for Online Blackjack
- Online Blackjack player has to compete 1-on-1 with deputed Dealer (also called Croupier). The primary goal of player is to get the hand totaling 21 or to beat Dealer's hand by approaching maximum close to 21 but without surpassing this figure.
- If your first two cards are a Ten and an Ace (or any face card) you get 'Blackjack' or 'natural' 21. Under this condition you win 1.5 times of your wager.
- Blackjack hand always beats the hand totaling 21 but to do this, you need more than first two cards.
- The numerical value of face card is 10 and the cards having face value 2 to10 are counted as per their original face values. Aces are counted as 1 or 11.
- Dealer's Ace is always counted as 11.
- A "hard hand" doesn't contain an Ace and if it is so, Ace is counted just as 1.
- A soft hand occurs when you get an Ace having value either 11 or a 1. It is called "soft" because the value of Ace can be calculated as per the requirement. Taking hits with a soft hand is less risky than with a hard hand.
- Players can receive as many cards as they want. This is known as "hitting." Otherwise players can choose "stand" option, after that they will get no more cards.
- If a tie occurs between the dealer and player, hand is called a "push" and player keeps his bet unaltered. Generally, dealers are expected to hit if they have 16 or less. Dealers stop going ahead after getting 17 hand value or more.
